Savages’ Jehnny Beth and Johnny Hostile collaborate on ‘Let It Out’

The crack-shot team comprised of Jehnny Beth and Johnny Hostile have been helming the score for the new Chelsea Manning documentary XY Chelsea and have released the first track ‘Let It Out’.

As the lead singer of post-punk outfit Savages, Beth has found a place at the pantheon of punk but on this number, she and producer Hostile show their penchant for modernism. The score is due out on the pair’s record label Pop Noire on June 7th.

Mac DeMarco has a crush on Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson and he’s telling Savages’ Jehnny Beth all about it

The pair shared the statement “It is about being inside Chelsea’s head at the moment she decides she won’t be hiding anymore. It’s a great moment of human bravery that can inspire anyone in this world to go beyond their own fear and accept who they are no matter the consequences.”

Having recently premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, XY Chelsea depicts the life and times of Chelsea Manning, the infamous whistleblower connected to Wikileaks. The film is expected to be released on June 7th on Showtime.
