Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed that the original cast of ‘Hocus Pocus’ are on board for a sequel
During an exchange on social media, Sarah Jessica Parker has apparently confirmed that the original cast of the iconic cult-classic film, Hocus Pocus, are all confirmed for an upcoming sequel.
As SJP posted a picture of the original starring trio of herself, Kathy Najmy and the legendary Bette Midler, on Friday and naturally gathered a host of likes, comments and well wishes. The film has gone on to become a staple of Halloween nights everywhere and manages to straddle the line between b-movie glory and Hollywood heights of costume.
With the script based on a story by Mick Garris and David Kirschner, the film followed a hilarious trio of witches who are accidentally resurrected when a boy, who is struggling to fit in at his new hometown of Salem, gets involved with the occult and makes a terrible mistake.
Now the Sex and the City has seemingly confirmed that all three of the original cast are on board for a new instalment of the horror-comedy. One fan asked the actor in the comments of the image: “any chance of a sequel?!”
The actor responded the only way fans would’ve wanted her too, saying, “we have all said yes. Now we wait. X”. The fans will be rejoicing with a little extra mustard as there was previously a little doubt surrounding whether the film would have all three stars involved in proceedings. A scenario which had fans disapprovingly muttering online.
