Royal Blood announce summer 2026 comeback shows
Royal Blood have returned with the promise of new music at three UK comeback shows set to take place later this summer.
On June 21st, the rock band teased new music with a clip of an unreleased song, and a call for fans to sign up to their mailing list. Many commenters speculated that this could mean a new album is on the horizon.
Only two days later, the band confirmed their live return “this summer for three special shows in Margate, Southampton and Guildford”.
If this weren’t enough, the ‘Out Of The Black’ stars added that fans in attendance at the new dates could expect “a couple of new songs”.
So far, the only shows announced take place in the South of England; kicking things off on August 24th at Margate’s Dreamland, the band will then play Guildford’s G Live, before a final show at Southampton’s O2 Guildhall.
The band’s last release came three years ago. In 2023, Royal Blood released Back to the Water Below, which received a sturdy three-star review from Far Out: “The duo have put together a mixed bag of rock songs but showed a necessary restraint and poured just as much energy into their slower, more subdued numbers.”
In an exclusive interview with Far Out, the band explained of the latest album: “It feels very song-led; not that we haven’t aspired to write great songs in the past, it is just that this one feels much more grounded in traditional songwriting.”
While also in conversation with Far Out, the pair mused: “This is where we are at: the flame of rock ‘n’ roll is flickering, but she’s still burning.” It appears Royal Blood are ready to light the torch once more.
Additionally, in 2024 Royal Blood celebrated the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut, which went double-Platinum.
