The Rolling Stones tease a collaboration with The War on Drugs

The legendary band The Rolling Stones are on the promotional push with the mammoth reissue of Goat’s Head Soup, this time teasing a collaboration with The War on Drugs.

The recently shared track ‘Scarlet’ will now feature the work of The War on Drugs. The original version of the song came with Jimmy Page on record and featuring a video starring Normal People‘s Paul Mescal.

But now the song is seemingly due a new makeover after The Rolling Stones have shared a picture of the Goat’s Head Soup album cover with a piece of tape underneath which reads: ‘Scarlet x The War on Drugs’.

Currently, we’re unsure whether it will be a new track, a reimagining of the original or perhaps a TWOD take on the song. We’re excited by every one of them.

Whatever is coming, we do know that it is arriving on August 14th. The new expanded reissue of Goat’s Head Soup, which features 10 previously unreleased songs among a lot of other additions, arrives on September 4th.
