Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever share new song ‘Falling Thunder’
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, the Australian band born out of Melbourne in 2013, have released. their latest effort ‘Falling Thunder’.
The song, which is the latest cut to be released from their forthcoming album Sideways to New Italy, arrives as the third song from the record to be released so far following the past two singles ‘She’s There’ and ‘Cars in Space’.
The group, who explained that the source of inspiration came from “people trying to find home somewhere alien”, will release the album on June 5 through Sub Pop and Ivy League.
“I felt completely rudderless on tour,” band member Fran Keaney explained. “It’s fun but you get to a point where you’re like, ‘Who am I anymore?’ You feel like you’re everywhere and nowhere at the same time. And no one in particular.”
Joe Russo, the guitarist and vocalist of the group, echoed added: “We saw a lot of the world, which was such a privilege, but it was kind of like looking through the window at other people’s lives, and then also reflecting on our own.”
