Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow set to play at Ringo Starr's 80th birthday

Ringo Starr is holding a special celebration for his upcoming 80th birthday and the livestream will feature performances and messages from former bandmate Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello and more.

‘Ringo’s Big Birthday Show’ will see some big names in rock take part in a special event. As well as the names mentioned above, Ringo will also welcome Joe Walsh, Ben Harper, Gary Clark Jr and others.

The broadcast will begin nice and early for Starr’s British fans, kicking off at 1am on 8th July via Starr’s YouTube channel. Whether you catch it on the night or the morning after, it’s sure to be a Beatles-tastic show.

The event will also see the premiere of a group cover of one of Starr’s songs ‘Give More Love’ which will feature Jeff Bridges, T Bone Burnette, Elvis Costello, Rodney Crowell, Jackson Browne, Peter Frampton, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Keb Mo, and Willie Nelson.

“As everyone knows, I love gathering with fans for peace and love on my birthday,” stated Starr in his press release.

“But this year, I want everyone to be safe at home — so I called up a few friends and we put this Big Birthday Show together so we could still celebrate my birthday with you all, with some great music, and for some great charities. I hope you will all join me! Peace and Love, Ringo.”
