Ringo Starr announces new tour dates
Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band have announced new tour dates for North America in 2025.
Starr is set to head back on the road in June to complete a series of rescheduled shows that were supposed to have occurred last year. However, due to health issues, they were postponed last September and will now take place in June.
The cancelled shows in New York and Philadelphia were due to Ringo coming “down with a cold and after consulting a doctor he was advised to cancel these two remaining shows and get rest”.
In addition to the performances in New York and Philadelphia, Starr will also visit Bridgeport, Greensboro, Vienna, Clearwater, St Augustine, Hollywood, and Charlotte in June.
Now, Starr has extended the tour with new dates, which will begin in Chicago on September 10th. During this leg, he will stop by Milwaukee, Louisville, Murphys and play six dates at The Venetian in Las Vegas. There is also set to be a show on September 23rd in an undisclosed location.
Ringo’s latest album, Look Up, was released earlier this year. The country record was a collaborative project with T Bone Burnett, who co-wrote many of the compositions on the album and also produced the LP.
Starr previously said of the record: “I had been making EPs at the time and so I thought we would do a country EP — but when he brought me nine songs I knew we had to make an album! And I am so glad we did. I want to thank, and send Peace & Love, to T Bone and all the great musicians who helped make this record. It was a joy making it and I hope it is a joy to listen to.”
Barry Keoghan will portray the drummer in Sam Mendes’ upcoming biopics on The Beatles, which will be released in 2027. The Irish actor recently recalled meeting Ringo and admitted he was “still in shock from” the encounter, lauding Starr “an icon”.
