Ringo Starr announces first-ever East Coast tour of the US

Ringo Starr has announced a new tour of the US, this time focusing exclusively on the East Coast of the country for the first time ever.

The former Beatles legend and his All Star band have already clocked up a busy year touring the West Coast of the US, but are now set to head east with a new string of dates announced to be taking place this autumn.

The run of ten shows will stretch across September and October, kicking off on September 24th at the State Theatre in Easton, Pennsylvania, and concluding on October 7th at the Palace Theatre in Albany, New York.

Notably, the tour also includes a stop at the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York, on October 1st, marking the first time Starr has returned to perform at the iconic venue since The Beatles last played there in 1964.

Currently, his All-Star Band consists of Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette, and Buck Johnson.

The news of the tour announcement comes a day before Starr is set to celebrate his 87th birthday, with him having released his annual ‘Peace and Love’ message last week.

Having also released his latest album Long Long Road in January, it has marked a seismic year in Beatles history as Starr and Paul McCartney released their first-ever duet, ‘Home to Us’, on the latter’s latest album The Boys of Dungeon Lane in May.

Excitement is also steadily building towards The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event being directed by Sam Mendes and set for release in 2028, in which Barry Keoghan will be playing Starr

Tickets for Starr’s East Coast tour of the US will go on sale from July 10th at 10am local time, while presale for certain packages will begin from July 7th at 10am local time.
