Rights to Bart Simpson/Michael Jackson song sell for £25K
We all remember when Bart Simpson had a UK number one right? Well an anonymous bidder has just paid $38,000, that’s approx. £25,000 for the rights to ‘Do the Bartman’
The song which appeared on the Simpsons in 1990 was allegedly co-written by Micheal Jackson – this however had to be covered up and at the time and denied due to Jacko’s contract with Sony and still to this day the legitimacy of this claim is disputed.
Bet he still tells all his mates he’s got the rights to a Michael Jackson number one though.
