Richard Swift’s posthumous album ‘The Hex’ set to be released on vinyl

Richard Swift’s new album The Hex will be released on vinyl via Secretly Canadian this December.

Swift, a former member of American indie rock band The Shins, died in July aged 41. Swift had been battling illness and, prior to his death, Far Out reported the appeal made by his family who desperately tried to raise money for urgent medical bills. The musician, who was also a member of Dan Auerbach’s band The Arcs, played with The Shins between 2011 and 2016 was valiantly battling a serious illness in hospital.

Now, his first full-length album since 2009 is to be released on vinyl. The record was finished just before his untimely and will now be released as a wonderful example of his incredible talent.
