Record Store Day 2026: War Child reveals exclusive vinyl collection

15 exclusive vinyl records have been revealed as part of a collection between the charity War Child and Record Store Day 2026.

The annual event, taking place this year on April 18th, will see the charity pair up with independent record shops all over the UK, where for every unit sold of the exclusive vinyls, £1 will be donated to help children trapped in conflict zones around the world.

The collection will feature exclusive versions of vinyls from the likes of The Cure, Divorce, Fleetwood Mac, Primal Scream, and The Vaccines. The vinyls will be available from all participating Record Store UK shops, as well as certain shops in Germany and The Netherlands.

In a statement released with the announcement, Rich Clarke, the head of music at War Child UK, said: “We couldn’t be happier to continue our partnership with Record Store Day UK. Music is a fundamental part of War Child’s DNA and we’re proud to be part of this celebration of independent record shops and the communities who support them.”

He added: “Right now, one in five children are affected by war. That’s more than 520 million children globally in the likes of Sudan, Gaza, Ukraine and more, so the support of RSD, retailers and record buyers couldn’t be more needed to help us continue to do our vital work around the world.”

The War Child collection comes separate from the exclusive vinyls normally released in celebration of Record Store Day each year, with that list of titles yet to be announced. However, the current roster of albums does mark the first time that many of the records have been produced on vinyl.

It marks another musical milestone for War Child in 2026, with the upcoming release of their new album HELP(2) on March 6th. The album will see exclusive tracks from the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Fontaines DC, and The Last Dinner Party.

Among the headline names from the project are the Arctic Monkeys, who released their comeback single ‘Opening Night’ last week as the leading song from the album.

When announcing HELP(2), its producer James Ford said: “I felt incredibly honoured when War Child asked me to work on HELP(2). The original HELP meant a lot to me and to have the opportunity, given the current news cycle, to help galvanise our music community into doing something as unarguably positive as helping children in war zones seemed like a no brainer.”
