Raye honoured with two Guinness World Records following Brit Awards haul

Amid her monumental rise to the top, Raye has now been presented with two prestigious Guinness World Record titles.

In a surprise backstage ceremony following her performance at London’s The O2 on May 20th, the singer-songwriter was presented with two official certificates celebrating the records that now fall under her name.

Raye was officially recognised by the global authority for record-breaking achievements for achieving the most Brit Award nominations in a single year, with seven nominations in 2024.

Additionally, Raye was presented with the award for the most Brit Awards won in a single year, as she took home six of the seven nominations on the night.

At the ceremony, she earned nods for ‘British Album of the Year’ for her debut My 21st Century Blues. Additionally, nominations soared in for ‘Song of the Year’, ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Best Pop Act’, ‘Best R&B Act’, and ‘Best New Artist’.

When receiving the ‘Album of the Year’ award on the night, Raye was full of emotional gratitude, sharing in her speech, “You just don’t understand what this means to me… All I ever wanted to be was an artist, and now I’m an artist with an album of the year”.

Raye has recently finished a 40-date tour celebrating her new album, This Music May Contain Hope. Providing direct support throughout the entire tour, her younger sisters, Absolutely and Amma, joined the Oscar-winning ‘Tears’ singer for the global trek.

Next up, the performer will appear at Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Brighton’s Pride on the Park, and the iconic Reading and Leeds Festival.

Additionally, Raye will lend her powerhouse vocals to Bruno Mars’ upcoming arena tour supporting him for a week in August and the majority of September.

In a glowing five-star review of her second LP, This Music May Contain Hope, Far Out observed, “In allowing the listener to give themselves over to its majesty, theatrical magic, and ultimate exhilaration, there’s nothing that stands in the way of its symphonic power. A rich orchestral backing is the only option – but Raye already knows that.”
