Rapper J Hus arrested and charged with carrying a knife
English rapper J Hus has been arrested and charged with carrying a knife.
The 23-year-old rapper, real name is Momodou Jallow, was stopped in his vehicle while in Stratford, East London. All men inside the care were searched when a knife or bladed article was found on J Hus.
J Hus, who was nominated for three BRIT Awards this year, was denied bail at Thames Magistrates Court and will remain in custody. His planned performances at TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow on June 30, London’s Wireless festival on July 7, and Croatia’s Fresh Island Festival on July 10 all remain in doubt.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan police said: “Officers in a marked police car stopped a vehicle in International Way, E20, at about 12:35pm on Thursday 21 June. The occupants of the vehicle were searched and a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a knife/bladed article.”
