Thom Yorke marked Radiohead’s return to Argentina in stunning fashion with a unique take on ‘The Gloaming’.
Radiohead, making their first appearance in the South American country in eight years, were treated to a Yorke a capella performance after crowd problems threatened to boil over. Local fans, understandably excited to see their favourite band during Soundhearts Festival on Saturday, were forced to wait around halfway through the Radiohead while festival organisers attempted to fix a broken safety rail.
As the crowd began to remonstrate, Yorke decided to put together a calming version of the Hail to the Thief track in an attempt to restore some sense of calm. Despite waiting for another 10 minutes, it seemed to work.
