The return of The Maccabees recently was something that brought a lot of excitement to the Far Out office, not least because of their outstanding comeback single ‘Marks to Prove It’.
The track cemented our view that a decade into their career, the London four-piece seem to have found a signature sound that comes up with the goods every time.
However, for a glimpse into how a Maccabees tune can be turned on it’s head and warped for a slightly more woozy experience, look no further than the indie world’s newest sampling experts Public Service Broadcasting.
This time around they have ditched the wartime public information archives and instead wrapped themselves around the impassioned vocal of frontman Orlando Weeks.
