Promartyr – I Forgive You

Taken from the new LP The Agent Intellect our Track of the Day is a piece of post-punk petulance from Detroit’s own Promartyr. As you would expect from them it is a confrontational and itchy piece of mood and machine-like rhythm with newest release ‘I Forgive You’.

As Casey’s vocal drawl takes us on a wandering through the underbelly of our minds while the angular guitars add another jaunt and make this a juxtaposition of joviality and incandescent derision.

It keeps the heavy mood whilst creating a still danceable (well, swaying) tune. It speaks of the band’s new direction that they can complete a pop-tinged tune still within their preferred medium of post-punk punchiness. Released via Hardly Art we are very much looking forward to the LP.

They will be following METZ on tour around the UK so make use of your bank card and buy some tickets. Quickly, whilst it’s still nearly pay day and before you’ve spent you’re money on sherbet and sweets.
