Liam Gallagher has announced that Primal Scream will be joining him as special guests at his upcoming free concert for NHS staff which is set to take place at London’s O2 Arena later this year.
Free tickets for the show were strictly for NHS staff with two tickets available per person allowing the health workers to bring a guest along—but only NHS staff and contract staff who work in NHS hospitals in the UK are eligible to apply for tickets. Predictably, tickets vanished in a number of minutes after they became available on April 15th and now the show is set to get even bigger with the addition of Primal Scream.
The band took to Instagram to make the announcement, saying: “Proud to be part of this concert for our heroic NHS workers organised by our friend Liam Gallagher,” the band wrote.
Gallagher also took to the platform to say: “I want to thank everyone who applied for tickets. Due to high demand, the event is now sold out. Congratulations to the people who got their hands on some, it’s going to be an amazing night of Rock n Roll for the NHS!”
The show is set to take place on Thursday 29th October and is Gallagher’s way of showing gratitude to the NHS staff for all they have done to keep Britain ticking over during the most difficult of circumstances over the last few weeks during these uncertain times.
Keep your eyes peeled as there are still more names set to be announced who will be joining Liam and Primal Scream.
