Pretty Vicious are a pretty nice band. A complete walking, talking indie-pop machine. Boasting slightly rougher edges than their contemporaries Catfish and the Bottlemen they look set to continue the burgeoning guitar revolt adding furiously punctured riffs with a scratching vocal from 18 year old Brad Griffiths.
The band represent Mrthyr Tydfil in Wales and although that may not be the musical mecca it has produced one of the sure-fire hits of the summer in Pretty Vicious. They are an affable bunch taking the indie sound of the early naughties and adding a disgruntled and reflecting sound of their social surroundings.
‘It’s Always There’ is due to be released on Record Store Day and it’s the perfect assumption of this and with the backing of Virgin EMI you wouldn’t bet against atop smaller festival bills next year.
All in their teens the band are looking to capitalise on their recent love from Radio 1 and take Britain by storm. The below dates should help.
