Montreal band Pottery has just announced signing to one of Far Out’s favourite labels, Partisan Records, and they’ve done it with a brand new single ‘Lady Solinas’ which has everything you need to down tools and dance the rest of the week away. Needless to say, it’s our Track of the Day.
The band’s announcement comes after some heavy hype off the back of shows with Parquet Courts and Thee Oh Sees, and not forgetting their debut single ‘Hank Williams’, which now sees their special brand of funky post-punk garage being given the spotlight it deserves.
‘Lady Solinas’ is the embodiment of this notion and sees the quintet shaking their stuff with every dirty riff. It’s a heady combination of shake, rattle and roll which has got us begging for more.
Luckily, we won’t have to wait too long as the band also announced that their EP No 1 will be out with Partisan on May 10th, and judging by what we’ve heard already, we’re expecting big things.
Keep your eyes on these suckers, they’re going to be soundtracking every party worth attending.
