Pinegrove have announced a comeback with their new album called Marigold.
The record, which will be released on January 17, 2020, sees the group join up with Rough Trade Records for the first time. The new material is also their first since they released 2018 Skylight which marked the end of the band’s hiatus after frontman Evan Stephens Hall dealt with an allegation of sexual coercion.
“The song ‘Phase’ is more or less about insomnia—trying to sleep but things racing in your mind, looking around your room, looking at things from the perspective of your bed, seeing all the things you could do or should be doing, enumerating tasks, making lists in your head, moving through anxieties & eventually, hopefully, into sleep,” frontman Evan Stephens Hall said in a statement.
To coincide with the new album news, the band have also released a first taster from Marigold which comes in the shape of their new single ‘Phase’.
