Pedro Pascal slams JK Rowling as “heinous loser” for celebrating transgender ruling

Thunderbolts star Pedro Pascal has lashed out at Harry Potter author JK Rowling and described her as a “heinous loser” for her views on the transgender community.

The Last of Us actor slammed Rowling in a comment on an Instagram video created by activist and content creator Tariq Ra’ouf, in which he likened Rowling to Potter villain Voldemort.

“JK Rowling is reveling in the fact that she helped the UK Supreme Court get to the point where they can define that trans women are not women legally,” Ra’ouf said in the video. “She’s so proud of all the work that she’s been doing to stoke hatred and fear into the general public about a very small minority population that’s already some of the most misunderstood people on the Earth.”

He added: “That shit. That awful disgusting shit — that has consequences.”

Pascal replied to the video adding, “Awful disgusting SHIT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”

Pascal has been consistently vocal for the transgender community in the past. He recently appeared at Cineworld Leicester Square to support the new Marvel film Thunderbolts and wore the viral ‘Protect the Dolls’ t-shirt, which raises money for Trans Lifeline, a trans-led US-based charity. He also wore the t-shirt during his 50th birthday celebration on April 6th.

In comparison, JK Rowling tweeted a picture looking joyful and smug in reaction to the news of the Supreme Court’s recent ruling. She is seen holding a beverage and smoking a cigar in front of a peaceful ocean setting. “I love it when a plan comes together,” she captioned the picture on X. This content was explicitly addressed in the video Pascal commented on.

Other celebrities have also shown their solidarity with the transgender community in reaction to the UK Supreme Court’s controversial gender ruling. Scissor Sisters, Rachel Chinouriri, Aimee Lou Wood, Lambrini Girls, Garbage, Shame, Billy Bragg, Jade, Mae Muller and Cat Burns are among those who have opposed the new legislation.
