Pedro Pascal and Ethel Cain support Rachel Zegler amid ‘Snow White’ backlash

Pedro Pascal and Ethel Cain are the latest stars to show support for Rachel Zegler as the social media backlash surrounding her role in Snow White continues to intensify.

Pascal shared a picture of the actor on his Instagram Stories on March 31st captioned with the word “#icon,” while singer Cain had also taken to her Stories a day earlier, tagging Zegler’s account before adding, “Don’t let em get u down, legend.”

The star-studded backing comes as Zegler has been blasted online for her support of Palestine amid the ongoing conflict, compared to Snow White co-star Gal Gadot who has supported her native Israel amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Zegler made a range of pro-Palestinian social media posts, which caused her to receive severe backlash as well as a scolding from Snow White’s producer, Marc Platt.

Additionally, now that the film is bombing at the box office as a result, Zegler has borne the brunt of even further criticism.

However, as Zegler herself told Allure last month, this has also prompted support from a range of stars, including Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and Ariana Grande.

Disney significantly scaled back the release of Snow White when it arrived in cinemas on March 21st, reportedly due to the actor’s stance on such issues as Palestine and Donald Trump which led them to remove red carpet interviews.

However, this has evidently been met with an equally hostile reaction by those who support Zegler, including Cain and Pascal.

For the latter’s part, he is shortly set to reprise his role in HBO zombie apocalypse smash hit The Last of Us, when its second series is released on April 13th.
