Pavement considering reunion to celebrate their 30th anniversary

Pavement founder Scott Kannberg has hinted that the band may put together a reunion in 2019 to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Long hailed as one of the most celebrated bands in indie rock history, co-founders Stephen Malkmus and Scott Kannberg put the band back together in 2010 for an extensive tour – a comeback that marked the end of a ten-year hiatus.

Since then, however, all members of the band have moved back into their individual working patterns, apart from when Malkmus and Kannberg joined forces to play a few select songs at Kannberg’s 50th birthday.

Now, in a new interview with Italian podcast Radio Cittá Del Capo, Kannberg has hinted that the band come be set to come back once again:“We haven’t really discussed it, but there has been some talk about our 30th anniversary in 2019 maybe doing some stuff, so stay tuned!” he said.
