Patti Smith, Beck and more contribute to 'Music Inspired by the film Roma'

Patti Smith, Beck and more contributed to ‘Music Inspired by the film Roma’ to accompany Alfonso Cuarón’s Oscar nominated film.

Not long after completing the film, Cuarón contacted a diverse group of his favourite musicians to complete a 15-track companion album which adds a new dimension to the black-and-white film which tells the tale of a young woman’s life in ’70s Mexico City.

Patti Smith and Beck join the likes of  Billie Eilish, DJ Shadow, Laura Marling, EL-P, T-Bone Burnett who complete a compelling lineup of somewhat unsuspecting collaborators.

The full album will be made available to stream over at NPR before making its way to streaming sites on February 8th. So far, Beck’s work on the single ‘Tarantula’ has been made available and can be streamed below.
