Ozzy Osbourne to sell iced tea infused with his DNA for $450 per can

Ozzy Osbourne is set to release his very own special limited edition range of iced tea, with each can infused with a sample of his DNA.

The bizarre collaboration between the Black Sabbath frontman and the canned drinks company Liquid Death follows a video Osbourne made with their powder electrolyte mix, which encouraged people not to inhale the product.

Subsequently, the company have again teamed up with the classic rocker, this time selling ten iced tea cans that he has drunk out of, and that have been sealed to preserve his DNA inside them. Buying a can will set fans back $450.

Explaining the concept behind the product launch, Liquid Death said: “Once technology and federal law permit, fans can use this DNA to try to clone Ozzy in the future and enjoy him for hundreds of years to come.”

In response, Osbourne simply added: “Clone me, you bastards!”, with the company also noting that the Prince of Darkness has graced each can with his signature.

It comes as Osbourne is making a range of forays back into the limelight, most notably culminating in the mammoth Black Sabbath farewell gig taking place at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5th.

However, the much-anticipated concert has not come without its controversies, mainly regarding the condition of the frontman’s health, as his battle with Parkinson’s disease means it is unknown how well he will be able to perform on the day. Despite this, Osbourne said in a recent interview, “If my God wants me to do the show, I’ll do it.”

For fans who have been unable to snag a ticket to the coveted Back to the Beginning gig, a pay-per-view livestream is being made available to purchase, as well as a free exhibition celebrating Osbourne’s life and career opening at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery throughout the summer.
