Oscars 2025: Official running order released for tonight’s event
The 97th Academy Awards ceremony, held at the Dolby Theater, is underway. Stars are arriving on the red carpet, ready to see who will win the glorious golden statuettes.
The event is always hotly followed, and the first notice of the event has truly arrived with the running order reported by NextBestPic.
Stars land on the red carpet, prepared to see who will take home the many coveted prizes. The running order of the awards has now been shared with ‘Best Supporting Actor’, an award most think will be nabbed by Kieran Culkin for A Real Pain will open the show.
‘Best Original Screenplay’ will arrive a few awards later, quickly followed by two widely watched gongs, ‘Best Supporting Actress’, another prize apparently sewn up by Zoe Saldaña and ‘Best Original Song’.
Things really hot up near the end of the evening as ‘Best Actor’ — one of the most fiercely fought categories, featuring Adrien Brody for The Brutalist and Timothée Chalamet for A Complete Unknown — comes before ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Actress’ before the biggest award of the night ‘Best Picture’.
The final prize of the evening is always the most coveted, and this year, there is no clear favourite for the gong with The Brutalist, Conclave, Anora, A Complete Unknown, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, I’m Still Here, Nickel Boys, The Substance and Wicked.
