Oscars 2019: Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper confirmed for ‘Shallow’ performance

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have been confirmed as performers at the the 91st Oscars ceremony.

The pair, who recently surprised Lady Gaga’s Las Vegas crowd by bringing out Cooper to perform ‘Shallow’ for the first time live, will bring it to the big stage for Oscars evening.

The song, which has been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Original Song category, is taken from Cooper’s film A Star Is Born which itself picked up a host of other nominations from the Academy.

The Academy confirmed the news by simply posting “Cooper. Gaga. ‘Shallow.’ #Oscars,” via their official Twitter account.

The song itself was written by Gaga along with the help of Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt before producing duties was passed over to Gaga who worked with Benjamin Rice.

On top of Oscars appreciation, the song claimed a Golden Globe for ‘Best Original Song’ as well as four Grammy Award nominations.
