Oscars 2018: Coco’s ‘Remember Me’ wins Best Original Song

Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez scooped the award for Best Original Song at the 2018 Oscars.

Their track, entitled ‘Remember Me’, was taken from the animated Pixar film Coco. Miguel, Gael García Bernal, and Natalia LaFourcade also performed the song during the ceremony.

Up against some stiff opposition, ‘Remember Me’ managed to edge out Sufjan Stevens, Mary J. Blige, Diane Warren and Common, and Benj Pasek and Justin Paul who were also nominated for the award. It’s the second win for both Anderson-Lopez and Lopez who won Best Original Song for Frozen’s ‘Let It Go’ in 2014.
