One man has been found dead at Bonnaroo Festival, officials have confirmed.
The festival, which takes place at Manchester, Tennessee, confirmed the body of a 35-year-old man had been found in the festival’s camping area at around 10:05am.
“The medical team responded immediately and found him unresponsive upon arrival. Our understanding is that his car was running and the heat was on, but cause of death has not been determined,” read Bonnaroo’s statement. “The safety of our patrons is our highest priority, and our sympathies go out to his family and friends.”
With headlines like Eminem, the Killers, and Muse, Bonnaroo is a huge player in the festival circuit in the United States. The last time somebody died at the event was 2015 when a man collapsed due to a pre-existing cardiac issue.
While police are investigating the recent death, it’s thought that no foul play is believed and it is not being treated as suspicious.
