NOFX on Las Vegas mass shooting: “At least they were country fans”
NOFX have been caught making disgustingly offensive comments about the victims of a mass shooting at Las Vegas last year.
The band, playing their set at Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival set in Las Vegas on Sunday, attempted some ‘banter’ on stage.
The episode began when Fat Mike said: “We played a song about Muslims and we didn’t get shot. Hooray.” To which Melvin responded: “I guess you only get shot in Vegas if you are in a country band.”
Fat Mike continued by adding: “at least they were country fans and not punk rock fans,” before people on the audience began to groan and boo in disgust. Even that didn’t stop them, Fat Mike again said “you were all thinking it!”
NOFX thought it would be "hilarious" to joke about the October 1 shootings while on stage in Las Vegas. They said "at least they were country fans and not punk rock fans". This is disgusting and callous. We will never support anything involving this band ever again. pic.twitter.com/am3R8QJIE6
