Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize confirm collaborative album as Nine Inch Noize
Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize have confirmed details of their first collaborative album as Nine Inch Noize.
Taking to Instagram on April 8th, the two musical acts simply wrote, “NINE INCH NOIZE • HALO 38 • APRIL 17TH • PRE-SAVE NOW.”
Additionally, a billboard has appeared in Indio, California, by Coachella that simply reads, “Nine Inch Noize. Album Out 4.17.26”.
Last September, heads were turned when Nine Inch Noize appeared on the bill at Coachella, and now, it has finally become clear exactly what the joint set will entail.
Boys Noize, the alias of electronic music producer Alex Ridha, previously supported the industrial rock pioneers on their Peel It Back world tour. He’d also join the band each night for an electronic portion of their set.
The partnership between Boys Noize and Nine Inch Nails has also seen him remix Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ movie soundtracks for Challengers and Tron: Ares.
No tracklist has been shared for the new album; therefore, it’s unclear whether it will be new material or the reworked Nine Inch Nails songs they have been performing together while on tour.
Nine Inch Noize will make their official live debut under the alias on April 11th on the Sahara Stage at Coachella. They are due to start their set at 8:00pm local time, before Boys Noize performs at 9:45pm on the Yuma Stage.
As it stands, Nine Inch Noize have not announced any further live dates beyond Coachella.
In December, Reznor confirmed that Nine Inch Nails were in the process of making new music, sharing, “We are working on new stuff and we’re excited to work on it, and we are prioritizing working on Nine Inch Nails over just taking on every single thing that comes up in the other category.”
The Nine Inch Nails maestro continued, “So, beyond that, I can’t say much, but the difference between now and a year ago is the fuse has been lit and the desire is there.”
