Last night Queen Nicki MInaj took to ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ as part of her promotional run to support her latest album Queen, which dropped on Friday. Minaj then went on to shake the room when she freestyled some lyrics about the host to her hit track ‘Barbie Tingz’.
After bringing up her references to Drake, Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, and more, he notes that he isn’t mentioned in the song. Nicki, being the queen she is, then takes the opportunity to freestyle a short piece about Colbert:
“I might [bleep] Stephen after the show/He gon’ come back to work with a magical glow.”
Cue a very flustered Colbert trying desperately to avoid Nicki’s gaze until she then offered another line for his troubles.
“But when you [bleep] please don’t stare/Just address me as Queen Nicki Colbert.”
The interviewer regained his composure however and went on to ask Minaj about the aforementioned rappers shout-outs in the track and their reactions. “Well, only one person so far got a little irritated,” she said, refusing to name names. “And then one person, he was just laughing.”
