Nick Cave has confirmed that new Bad Seeds album is almost complete.
In what will be a follow up to 2016s heartwrenching record Skeleton Tree, Cave described the new material as “amazing” while playing live in his native Australia.
Cave, performing at the Melbourne Town Hall, explained: “We’ve really nearly finished a new record, I would say,” before adding: “And it’s an amazing thing in my opinion,” according to The Music.
“I’m very, very excited about it.”
A few weeks back Far Out reported the news that Susie Bick, the wife of Nick Cave, had confirmed the Bad Seeds man was back in the studio. The news was confirmed while writing in the blog section of her website ‘The Vampires Wife’.
Detailing her current bout of autumn flu, Bick went on to explain how her husband’s new songs are forming lucid dreams in her unwell state: “He is in LA making a new record,” she wrote. “Some of his songs reveal themselves at night in his fever dreams.
“They are his Fever Songs. What lovely jobs we have,” she added.
