Nick Cave collaborates with Larry ‘Ratso’ Sloman on new song 'Our Lady of Light'


Larry ‘Ratso’ Sloman has released a new single in collaboration with Nick Cave.

The track, entitled ‘Our Lady of Light’, comes with the news that 70-year-old Sloman is releasing his debut album Stubborn Heart which will feature numerous different collaborations with the likes of Cave, and Imani Coppola and Cave’s partner in crime
Warren Ellis.

Traditionally Sloman is a prolific writer, author and journalist who is arguably best known for his collaboration with Howard Stern on the radio personality’s two best-selling books, Private Parts and Miss America. 

Sloman also famously Grew very close to John Cale and Bob Dylan. In 1975 he was the official writer of Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue tour and eventually penned the book On the Road with Bob Dylan

Speaking of the record, Sloman said: “Maybe I can be the Jewish Susan Boyle.”

He added: “The oldest best new artist ever and if that doesn’t pan out, I can always perform on subway platforms. Hey, I can get in for half-price!”
