Nicholas Allbrook blows us away with ‘A Fool There Was’

The POND front man has created something incredibly expansive in his latest song as a soloist. ‘A Fool There Was’ is both expansive and introverted, using glittering darkness to highlight his incredible instrumental skills and fundamental lyrical talent.

There was only one choice for Track of the Day when this one landed across our desks. The song comes following the lead single ‘Advance’ which was as compelling an avant-garde number as we have heard in a while until this 60’s charged gem came along of course.

The new LP Pure Gadiya looks like it could be a cult classic in the making and lets Allbrook focus on his Australian roots and the juxtapositions that poses. In any case, we can’t get enough of ‘A Fool There Was’ and we bet after one listen you’ll feel the same.
