New Order announce new collection, ‘The Best and The Rest Of’

New Order have announced a new collection, The Best & The Rest Of, which brings together the band’s acclaimed compilations, The Best Of New Order and The Rest Of New Order, alongside an expansive collection of remixes.

The new compilation, slated for release via Warner Music on July 17th, boasts several unreleased mixes from the likes of Sub Sub, Richie Hawtin, and Joe T.Vannelli.

Fans can also listen to the fully remastered audio, which was cut at the iconic Abbey Road, on separate vinyl formats.

The Best Of New Order was released in 1994 and brought together a selection of their singles from 1985, along with four newly created 1994 mixes. It featured most of their iconic tracks, including ‘True Faith’, ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’, ‘Blue Monday 88’, ‘Regret,’ and ‘World in Motion’.

A year later, the companion remix album, The Best Of New Order, reimagined their catalogue through various genre-spanning remixes. Most notably, this release included ‘Blue Monday-95’, remixed by German electronic duo Hardfloor.

In addition to this forthcoming release, The Rest Of New Order is now available in a 3LP set and compiles all 12 songs from the CD and original vinyl release for the first time.

Elsewhere, it was recently confirmed that Joy Division and New Order were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, following previous nominations in 2023, 2025, and 2026.

Touching on the ceremony, Peter Hook, who played bass with Joy Division until they became New Order in 1980 after Ian Curtis’s suicide, and who left the band in 2007, suggested that Oasis “could be the intermediaries” for a New Order reunion.

Alongside the iconic band, Oasis, Sade, Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Wu-Tang Clan, Billy Idol, and Luther Vandross make up the Class of 2026.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony is set to take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on November 14th.
