Neil Young announces ‘The Archives Vol. II: 1972-1976’ box set
Continuing his prolific output, one which has sped up during the current health crisis lockdown, Neil Young has now announced the complete tracklist for his eagerly anticipated new release Archives Volume 2 box set.
The project, which has been given a release date of November 20th, is split across 10 mammoth discs and kickstarts with material Young recorded shortly after the release of his now-iconic 1972 album Harvest. From there, the box set chronicle the rock star’s career with the inclusion of his Asian and European tours with Crazy Horse in 1976.
The selling point for Neil Young fans, however, is the inclusion of 12 songs that have never been released before any format. On top of that, Young has included 50 previously unreleased versions of songs.
Detailing the release in his post on the Neil Young Archives website, the musician said it will “only available on the NYA,” and that preordering will begin October 16th.
