Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee sued over alleged sexual assault
Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee has been accused of sexual assault by an unnamed woman, with the lawsuit allegedly claiming she had been “lured” onto a helicopter in an incident that occurred in 2003.
In documents obtained by TMZ, it’s been alleged that Lee’s pilot, David Martz, had offered to take the woman in his helicopter for a sightseeing trip, but when she arrived, was told they would be taking Lee to Los Angeles instead.
The documents claim both Martz and Lee were drinking “within a matter of minutes being airborne”, as well as smoking marijuana and taking cocaine during the flight.
The Mötley Crüe drummer allegedly assaulted the unnamed woman, “forcibly groping, kissing and penetrating her with his fingers, and attempting to force her to perform oral copulation,” per documents obtained by TMZ.
After coming to the front of the aircraft, she was told to sit on Lee’s lap, a demand which documents said later “became more forceful” as she began feeling “immense pressure” as Lee allegedly groped and kissed her.
“Lee then pulled down his pants and attempted to force plaintiff’s head toward his genitals,” read the lawsuit. “By this point, plaintiff was in tears, but she had nowhere to go – she was trapped with little mobility to leave the cockpit.”
Martz was to have “merely watched” while Lee was allegedly “forcibly groping, kissing and penetrating her with his fingers, and attempting to force her to perform oral copulation”.
Martz, who died in 2015, had lost his pilot’s license three times, once for an incident in 2009 in which he had oral sex while operating the helicopter. It’s noted in the complaint that the woman did not speak to him for years after the incident.
Besides Lee, A Natural High Helicopters and Social Helicopters are named as defendants, as are Mayhem Touring and Tommy Lee Inc.
The alleged sexual assault has been said to have “great shock, distress, humiliation, shame and guilt”.
Tommy Lee, whose controversial wild antics at the peak of Mötley Crüe fame have been subject to onscreen depictions in The Dirt and Pam & Tommy, has not yet commented on the allegations.
