Montreux Jazz Festival 2025: Neil Young, Pulp and Sam Fender announced as headliners
The Montreux Jazz Festival has unveiled the full programme for 2025. The 59th edition of the legendary Swiss festival will take place between July 4th and July 9th with Neil Young, Pulp and Sam Fender among those announced.
The festival has become famous for its eclectic lineups, and this year remains no different. Headliners range from hip-hop to classic rock legends, alongside the greatest in jazz, funk, and soul. Some of the biggest names announced include Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts, Pulp, Sam Fender, Diana Ross, J Balvin, Lionel Richie, and Raye.
The opening night will be a world-exclusive event. Chaka Khan and Friends to Quincy with Love will be a powerful tribute to Quincy Jones’ life. The late producer was a huge ambassador of Montreux, so the festival will honour him with a one-night-only performance.
Khan will lead the show, which will feature a stellar line-up of various special guests. These include Siedah Garrett, who is an excellent vocalist and one of the co-writers on ‘Man in the Mirror’. She also helped Jones with a number of his iconic albums throughout the 1980s and ‘90s.
Neil Young will also play at the Montreux Jazz Festival for the first time in nine years. He will perform a special three-hour set with his band, The Chrome Hearts, which features Micah Nelson and Spooner Oldham.
In addition to the headline acts, eleven free stages will be around the quays, offering festival-goers the opportunity to experience a diverse range of music and musical experiences. These include open-air electronic clubs, yoga classes, and cooking lessons.
