Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, denies suicide attempt
Paris Jackson, the daughter of controversial pop icon Michael Jackson, has denied claims she attempted suicide following the expose Channel 4 documentary Leaving Neverland.
The high-profile documentary film, directed and produced by the British filmmaker Dan Reed, focuses on two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who allege they were sexually abused as children by the singer Michael Jackson.
Detailing specifics about the alleged sexual contact, the film also examines the effects on their families. As a result of the allegations, a backlash against Jackson has erupted with his legacy of a music icon in doubt.
Now, it was alleged by American outlet TMZ that Paris was “hospitalised after attempting suicide” because of stress caused by the “backlash” from the film.
However, sources close to the family have denied the aspiring actress attempted suicide and, instead, simply required medical attention for a separate issue and is now resting at home.
Now, in a series of tweets posted on social media, Paris Jackson herself has addressed the false stories. “lies lies lies,” she said while linking to the article which claimed a suicide attempt.
