Michael B Jordan wants to work with Jonathan Majors again: “That’s my boy”

Michael B Jordan has expressed his willingness to reunite with his Creed III co-star Jonathan Majors who was convicted of domestic violence in 2023.

On December 18th, 2023, a six-person jury in New York found Majors guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and guilty of a further charge of harassment of Grace Jabbari. Additionally, the actor was found not guilty of one count of assault in the third degree and not guilty of aggravated assault in the second degree.

Majors avoided prison time and was instead sentenced to a treatment programme for a year following the guilty verdict.

After the conviction, Majors was dropped by his publicist and talent agency. He also lost a starring role as Otis Redding in a biopic, which is now set to feature John Boyega, and Marvel severed all ties with the actor. Additionally, the sports drama Magazine Dreams, purchased by Spotlight following the Sundance Film Festival in 2023, was dropped by its distributor. However, it has since been picked up by Briarcliff Entertainment ahead of a March 21st release.

In a new interview with GQ, Jordan has described Majors’ plight as a “tough situation”. He added, “But he’s doing great, just got engaged.”

Jordan, who is set to star in Ryan Coogler’s new movie Sinners, added, “I’m proud of his resilience and his strength through it all, and (his) handling (of) it. I’m glad he’s good. That’s my boy.”

When probed about whether he’d want to work with Majors in the future, Jordan responded, “Yes. Yes.”

Majors has since returned to acting. Last year, he was confirmed to star in revenge thriller, Merciless, directed by Martin Villeneuve.

Merciless intertwines themes of possession, revenge, and personal justice within a haunting narrative. It explores the psychological descent of John, played by Majors, and the supernatural forces challenging his sanity,” Villeneuve explained in a statement.
