The song may not quite be the preferred style for those fans who had crammed in to see the incredible Metallica perform in Manchester over the weekend, but the heavy metal band led a sing-a-long to Oasis’ ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’.
The band encouraged an arena-sized sing-a-long of the Oasis classic by way of tribute to the lives lost when a suicide bomber attacked the Manchester Arena during an Ariana Grande concert earlier in the year.
The song has become an anthem for the tragedy, a way to help grieving families try to move on. Led by the Gallagher brothers’ original performance the song has now been covered by Coldplay, U2, Ariana Grande and now legends Metallica.
