The newest track from Mellah, the producer and musician from Peckham, is a deeply personal and poignant song showing his wealth of talent. Liam Ramsden AKA Mellah, is set to release his EP Liminality on Friday (12th) via Lucky Number and will surely show off far more of his talents.
As with his previous effort ‘Round’ the artist uses his own personal issues and experience to create some fantastically veracious work. ‘Nada’ doesn’t stray from this as Ramsden deals with the beauty of life and the ultimate end of death.
He explains “In short, ‘Nada’ is a song about death. My father died a couple of years ago now; his sudden, unexpected departure paraded in front of me the stark inevitability of death, which I had never really been faced with before, and through it illuminated the immediacy and beauty of my own life. ‘Nada’ is my memento mori if you like.”
If further proof of Mellah’s artistry was needed then ‘Nada’ is it. See him perfomr at The Montague Arms on the 16th May for a close-up view.
