Mastodon announce 2026 tour alongside Deafheaven and Alcest

Mastodon have unveiled the dates for their 2026 Poisonous Weapons Tour, set to cross Canada and the United States alongside special guests Deafheaven and Alcest.

The 27-date coast-to-coast tour will kick off on September 16th in Orlando, Florida, and will make its way across landmark venues in cities like Asheville, Boston, Brooklyn, Toronto, and Montreal.

In October, the ‘Blood and Thunder’ musicians will head over to the likes of Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Memphis, and Cleveland, before tying things up in Atlanta on October 22nd.

On June 2nd, the band released a new track, ‘Your Ghost Again’, their very first track since splitting with their guitarist and vocalist, Brent Hinds, before his tragic death only a few months later.

Drummer and vocalist Brann Dailor has explained of the track, “I just kept seeing [Brent] out of the corner of my eye, where he would normally be with his guitar. It’s about that: your mind plays tricks on you, especially so soon after someone dies and you’re in the places where they always were. You just see them.”

At their live show since his passing, the band paid tribute to the late creative, deeming him on stage “One of the most creative, beautiful people that we’ve ever come across,” while also stating that they loved him “so, so, so very much.”
