Mastodon and Dinosaur Jr. cancel tour due to “critical situation”
Mastodon and Dinosaur Jr. have cancelled their upcoming tour.
Dinosaur Jr. confirmed the news in a statement on Twitter, explaining that the cancellation was due to a “critical situation of a member of the Mastodon family.”
On top of that, the band explained that tickets and VIP upgrades will be refunded. “We are sorry to disappoint our fans and Mastodon’s, and thank you for understanding,” the statement reads. The news comes at the very last moment, tour dates were due to kick off Saturday, September 1.
Dinosaur Jr. also confirmed that their headline show at the Wilma Theatre will be cancelled: “We are sorry to disappoint our fans in Missoula and hope to come back soon,” they explained. “Our team is quickly working to see if we can schedule shows in some of the other affected markets and will share news as soon as possible.”
