Man arrested for stabbing concertgoer at metal show in Texas
36-year-old John Guerrero has been arrested and subsequently charged with aggravated assault due to an incident that occurred on December 27th at a metal concert.
During a metalcore show at Paper Tiger in San Antonio, Texas, Guerrero is alleged to have stabbed a 21-year-old member of the crowd. The investigators have reported that Guerrero and the victim engaged in a physical altercation before police were called to the venue. Shortly after 10pm, the police arrived to find the victim outside Paper Tiger, with multiple stab wounds.
Guerrero remained at the venue after the incident and was therefore identified by witnesses to the police. He was apprehended immediately and was found in possession of a knife.
The 21-year-old victim was rushed to hospital, where he is now in a stable condition and expected to recover.
Guerrero is reported to have been booked at Bexar County Adult Detention Centre on the morning of December 28th for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was later released on a $100,000 bond. His court hearing is scheduled for March 3rd.
The gig that evening featured Life Cycles and sets from Fear of Loss, Voracious Contempt, Crossways 3000, and Public Threat.
