Maisie Williams, the actress best known by Game of Thrones fans as Arya Stark, has selected a handful of her favourite songs.
Williams, who made her acting debut in the supremely popular fantasy television series, has enjoyed a meteoric rise to critical acclaim following her award-winning performances in the role of the fictional character from George R. R. Martin’s novels.
After eight years working on the show, Williams has since enjoyed a recurring role in Doctor Who, made her feature film debut in the mystery drama The Falling and will appear in Josh Boone’s eagerly anticipated horror film The New Mutants later this year.
While juggling her television acting work with feature films, Williams has appeared on stage as part of Lauren Gunderson’s award-winning show I and You and, from time-to-time, made cameo appearances in numerous music videos for the likes of The Vamps and Alice Phoebe Lou.
A little while back, when sitting down with Notion, Williams began discussing a selection of her favourite songs… and we’ve collected them into a playlist for you. When discussing her admiration for James Blake and her decision to choose ‘Don’t Miss It’, Williams said: “I listen to at least one James Blake song a day but if I had to pick the one I’ve got on repeat right now it would be don’t miss it.”
Williams admitted that a number of the tracks included in her top 10 are often used while exercising or, more specifically, while on the yoga mat: “I challenge anyone who says yoga is boring to try out some stretches to this song,” she said while picking out Mala’s song ‘Noche Sueños’. “Makes the whole experience a lot more fun in my opinion.”
With inclusions for Grimes, FKA Twigs, Cigarettes After Sex and more, see the full selections and playlist, below.
