Mac DeMarco confirms new album and announces tour
Mac DeMarco has confirmed details of an extensive tour of North America, Europe and the UK for 2025 in support of his as-yet-untitled new album.
DeMarco has remained tight-lipped regarding details of his forthcoming record, but it is on its way this year. In a statement, the singer-songwriter shared: “I have an album coming in August, see you at the shows.”
Following the release of the album, DeMarco’s tour is set to begin on August 29th at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. In September, it will roll through several cities, such as Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York, Boston, Seattle, and Vancouver, and conclude on September 29th at the Santa Barbara Bowl in California.
On October 21st, DeMarco will land in mainland Europe, beginning at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. He will also visit Rotterdam, Paris, Prague, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Stockholm, Oslo, Berlin, Cologne, and Brussels.
In the UK and Ireland, DeMarco will perform in Birmingham, Brighton, London, Cambridge, Manchester, and Dublin. His tour concludes with a trip around his native Canada in December, which includes 11 dates.
DeMarco’s last studio album was the instrumental Five Easy Hot Dogs, which was released in 2023. A few months later, he shared One Wayne G, which contained 199 mostly instrumental tracks and lasted almost nine hours.
