Lusts announce debut album details alongside new single ‘Illuminations’

Having recently announced the release of their debut album, Lusts have now shared the video to their title track single.

The video for ‘Illuminations’ was directed by UK collective Youth Hymns and the band explained their desire to work with other like-minding creatives.

”Illuminations is a song that has become the beating heart of our album, and it only felt right to put it out alongside our debut,” they said.

“We continued our work with the directors Youth Hymns, who we have a great understanding with, which is a really good catalyst for ideas.

“Inspired by Wong Kar-Wai’s ‘Fallen Angels’, Yoshi Sodeoka’s art, and Nukeme and Ucnv coats, we wanted to capture the hazy feelings of our Illuminations.

“We took a Ford Capri, mounted it with cameras and went for a drive at night, letting the streets and neon lights wash over us.

“The outcome is a dream-like state of colours swirling, lights trailing and distorted reflections.”
