‘Loki’ actor Jack Veal reveals he’s homeless in plea for help

17-year-old actor Jack Veal, best known for playing Kid Loki in the Disney+ streaming series Loki has revealed he’s homeless on TikTok.

The Londoner, who also appeared in the likes of Tin StarThe End of the F***ing WorldCome AwayThe Favourite and The Peripheral, went viral on December 2nd when he shared a TikTok video revealing his dire personal and living situation.

Veal explained that he’d run away from a household where he suffered abuse and was now living in a trailer with smashed-up windows and no electricity in London. The location on the video said Dartford, and he implored his followers to share so he could get help.

“Hi. I’m a famous actor, I’m 17, and I’m homeless,” Veal said in the video. “I haven’t mentioned much about what’s been going on in my life, but I think it’s time to reveal the truth. Without delving too much into the details, I was abused at home. It was physical violence, emotional abuse and etcetera.”

He then revealed more about his alarming circumstances, describing his mental health: “I didn’t have a very good upbringing. I’ve struggled with mental health. I have autism, ADHD, and am being screened for bipolar and psychosis.”

Sadly, the young actor said he is unable to stay with his grandparents due to his grandfather being terminally ill. He added: “I have nowhere else to go. And I need help.”

Veal asserted that he had tried to get help from the social services but was presently unsuccessful and is instead “sleeping in a trailer that has smashed-in windows” and “is unsafe, and is two hours away from my work.” He then showed followers around his tiny makeshift abode, which he said got very cold due to the broken windows.

In the video, Veal said that he also wanted to share his situation to “spread the message of how the government is treating kids.”

Jack Veal shares positive update on homeless situation

Although Veal’s situation was terrible, after his original video went viral, he shared a much more positive update. He optimistically told followers that he “just got a call from social services saying they want a meeting with me tomorrow to essentially get me into foster care and supporting accommodations.”

“I don’t know what you guys have done but it’s gotten out there and it’s really, really helped me,” a cleary emotional Veal said. “They’re taking action now. They’re actually doing something. So God bless you all. Thank you so much. This is the first time they’ve ever considered me for accommodation.”
